Ice Safety Rules

Featured

As colder weather is upon us, the ice on the lake should always be considered as unsafe, and members should use extreme caution at all times.

Use of the lake is considered AT YOUR OWN RISK, and parents should talk to their children about ice safety. We strongly caution you against the use of motorized snow blowers on the lake.

1. You must be a member of CLIA to be on the frozen lake. All guests must be accompanied by a member with a current badge.

2. Ice Skating is at a member’s own risk. Please wait until ice is at least 4 inches thick.
3. Ice fishing restricted to area south of East Point and at least 50 feet from shoreline.
4. No power augers are permitted on the frozen lake, holes must be filled in before leaving.
5. No bonfires are allowed on the frozen lake.
6. No motorized vehicles of any kind are allowed on the frozen lake.

Letter from CLIA Nov 22, 2017

Dear Cupsaw Members,

As 2017 comes to an end, the CLIA Board would like to thank all the volunteers, groups, committees, and members who gave so generously of their time and expertise. One of our most important and final projects for this year, the resurfacing of the deep end wall by the diving area, was partially funded by WAA (Women’s Athletic Association). A big thank you to that organization! Please continue to check the website and email newsletters for fun winter activities.

We wish you all “Happy Holidays and a Happy and Healthy New Year!”
